Are you planning to go hiking with your little one, but you aren’t really sure where to find a carrier that was designed for hiking? One that not only gives you comfort, but your little one as well, and is it ergonomically designed?

This is where it begins. I did a lot of research and tested each of these 3 models.

Packs Poco-Plus by Osprey

This is a strong carrier that is made from fabric and nylon. It was created so that it allows it to handle heavy tension without ruining the shape or form, and it is very lightweight. The tension mesh back panel allows for easy carrying and it even gives your little one just the right amount of ventilation, which is great especially if it’s hot out.

The shoulder straps are adjustable, and it is super comfortable to wear. They can be adjusted to give you room for your belly and shoulders, which is great for those who are a bit more bulky. It is easy to put on, and it’s hassle free. It comes with a lifetime warranty, as well as built in sun shades, plenty of compartments, changing pad, detachable backpack and hydration sleeve.

Pathfinder 3.0 by Kelty

This carrier takes hiking to a whole new level. The carrier has comfort for not only your baby, but you as well. There are evenly padded straps and a padded interior. The suspension system is adjustable and it works for both mom and dad. There is a 5-point harness that ensures the safety of your little one, and leg secure straps that add to the comfort for your little one. A hood that will protect your baby from the sun, plenty of storage as well as a detachable daypack, and there is even under-seat storage for all your little stuff like bottles, diapers, etc.

Smart Support Backpack by Chicco

This entry level carrier is great for small hikes or trips to the zoo. There are 3 different positions for your little one and it is very comfortable for you and your baby. There is an energy absorbing lumbar, and evenly distributed padding that helps keep this comfortable. It is lightweight since it has aluminum framing, so you don’t have to worry about your baby’s weight. It can be carried for a long time without worry about tiring. It can be used to up to 40lbs. There is even a sun shade which is great, but there aren’t a lot of compartments for your baby items.

All of these carriers are great for hiking. They all have perfect features and are not only safe, but comfortable.
